Jeff Kellom sets the bar for a training / coaching / motivating professional. . . and just for us folks who want to be healthy and at our best at any age. Jeff’s expertise is multi-dimensional and deep. Our bodies are multi-dimensional and deep such that designing a program that is specific to you is so much more than what one typically can find out there.
If you are lucky enough to get on Jeff’s schedule you immediately know you are in very experienced and talented hands. Whatever your goals may be Jeff can help you achieve them with his focus, keen eyes, creative programs, astute problem solving abilities and the sheer power of his knowledge. Quite simply he is that good.
I say this after having worked with Jeff for over 10 years. We all can feel when someone is good at what they do, if they can be trusted with working through injuries and be undaunted when called on to address challenges that will undoubtedly arise. Jeff is that someone and I feel very lucky indeed.

Jeff has transformed my body. His fun, effective programs produce the results that I’ve always wanted, but didn’t know how to achieve on my own. I would be lost without his programs. Jeff’s enthusiasm, confidence and positive energy is absolutely infectious. With his extensive knowledge, unwavering dedication and optimism, combined with his unique ability to articulately share his insights in a way that paints a visual picture, Jeff embodies the hallmarks of a truly outstanding teacher- empowering his clients and instilling the confidence they need to reach and exceed their fitness goals.
Rarely do you encounter someone who possesses the level of expertise, passion, patience, professionalism and sense of fun that Jeff does. When you do meet an individual as exceptionally talented and gifted as Jeff is, you know it immediately.
I feel truly lucky to count Jeff as my trainer, friend and one of my favorite people.

I started training with Jeff in 1996 as a teenage ski racer. When I began training with Jeff, I was finishing last in most Far West amateur races and was told that I started too late to be able to be a decent racer and get invited to larger FIS races. Training with Jeff took me from last place to top 15 finishes in big Far West speed events, top tier finishes in FIS development series races including Junior Olympics and a win in the combined at Far West Championships in 1998.
I ended up racing at a NCAA Division 2 collegiate level and in 2002 helped my team qualify for and compete in nationals. Not only that but while at nationals the "never give up values" that were instilled in me from all those years of training made the difference between my team getting a team score or being eliminated. I skiied out of the course but my decision to hike the course and finish later ended up making the difference after two team mates were disqualified. To this day I consider that slalom run where I toughed it out, then came back to have an outstanding run on an incredibly rutted out, icy, and beat up course without letting the circumstances get to me, to be my greatest victory in sport. Aside from that Jeff was one of the most positive role models I had as a teenager (aside from my parents) and I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to be one of his athletes. He coached me way beyond what was thought by my ski coaches to be my potential as a ski racer and what I learned from him carried over into life which is even more important, his approach led not only to athletic success, but academic success, and ultimately career success.
Over a decade later I am a professional Stand Up Paddle and Longboard Surf athlete and Jeff's recent help from afar has gotten me a top 6 finish in World Championships at Hennessy World Championships ahead of now Olympic Gold medalist Krisztina Zur and top ten finishes at major races including Battle of the Paddle along with accomplishments like paddling from Catalina Island to Dana Point solo, Finishing top 3 in stock division in Molokai 2 Oahu World Paddleboard Championships and paddling 60 miles half way around the island of Oahu.
All awards aside Jeff's training during my teenage years gave me the confidence and guts so to speak to pursue my dreams no matter what they are or how distant they seem. The theme being that if I had done it once it could be done again. The work ethic and toughness he taught me led me to great academic success: MA at UC Berkeley and also helped me pursue my career wholeheartedly when naysayers seemed to be everywhere. Jeff is professional, hard working and will get you to your goals as long as you apply yourself, period. HIs incredible experience as a trainer and coach has given him the tools to be one of the best at programming hands down. As a personal trainer and surf/SUP coach myself I more often than not find myself using Jeff's tactics to get my own clients to reach their own goals.
As a side note: for parents with daughters I recommend him even more. If your daughter has the confidence to do duck walks on the track while the football team is practicing, as a college freshman, then she will have the confidence to tell a guy to take a hike when the need arises.
